Remigration: sending migrants home
Removal orders: sending migrants home
Humanitarian parole: allowing migrants to stay in the US temporarily due to difficult conditions in their homeland, for example TPS (temporary protected status) for Haitians
Ankle monitors: monitors TPS people must wear
ELITE: a cybertool that allows ICE to make “target lists” showing where migrants are likely to live, generated by Palantir, an ICE contractor
Mega-master hearings: hearings where judges call more than 50 immigration cases at a time, often leading to quick deportations
Flashbang: “non-lethal explosive device used to temporarily disorient an enemy’s senses.” They produce a blinding flash of light and a loud bang. They have been used by ICE.
