ANTI-IMMIGRANT POLICY
The front page of The New York Times on 5/31/26 contained the following paragraph: “For more than a year, administration officials have sought to pull every bureaucratic lever possible to cut off immigrants—both documented and undocumented—from jobs, medical care, financial services, tax credits and even from enrolling their children in daycare. The goal has been to compel immigrants to leave the country and, in the long run, to eliminate incentives that draw many people to the United States in the first place.”
So far 116,000 immigrants have left the US on their own or with US government assistance. There are an estimated 14 million undocumented immigrants in the US. The Trump program then seems designed mainly to discourage future immigration, documented and undocumented, unless, of course, you are a white South African suffering from nothing more than a vigorous affirmative action program favoring the Black majority there.
